Music over the Mountains is a successor to the legendary Music on the Mountain. Traditions in that great event have been continued in Music over the Mountains. MotM is a TOB sanctioned event.

Bookmark this site now, and sign your band up at your first opportunity. Bands will perform in reverse order of registration: first in, last on.

Music over the Mountains will be held at the Pocono Mountain Stadium located on the Pocono Mountain East campus (the original school). The stadium height is a great advantage for getting as close to an ariel view of your show as possible. We'll look forward to seeing you there.

The 2010 Music over the Mountains will be held on October 9, 2010. Tentative starting time is 7:00, with gates opening at 6:30 p.m.

A panel of judges will be roaming the parking lots, warm-up areas, concession stands, main entrance of the stadium and audience stands looking for that one band organization that exhibits good sportmanship in all areas, from director to performer to cheering section.

This event is a high school marching band competition hosted by the Pocono Mountain East High School Marching Band, and sponsored by the Pocono Mountain Cardinal Music Boosters. A joint committee organizes and runs the event. For its first six years, Music on the Mountain was hosted by the Pocono Mountain High School Marching Band, then one year by both the new Pocono Mountain East and Pocono Mountain West Marching Bands. The Pocono Mountain High Schools are part of the Pocono Mountain School District, located mostly within Monroe County, in northeastern Pennsylvania. Music over the Mountains is a TOB Sanctioned event.
